Web for Change: websites on a pay-what-you-can basis
Visit Web for Change
A simple professional website usually costs between $500 and a few thousand dollars, and hosting and maintenance can add another $150 a month. That can be a lot for a small project, or for a student applying to internships or graduate programs. Through Web for Change, I design and develop the website, then host and maintain it on my Vercel hosting. People can pay the full price, pay in installments, make a small contribution, or pay nothing if money is tight. The site currently lists two projects: a portfolio for Abdul Qudoos Musab, a Skidmore College student who studies politics and makes documentaries, and a bilingual website for Cerámica Del Valle, a family pottery workshop and shop in Santa Ana, Costa Rica.

Do soft words fall at the end of the sentence?

Božena Němcová's prose is often described as unusually gentle. I built a distributed pipeline over the whole Czech Wikipedia and 51 books to check whether her sentence endings are softer than usual, and spent much of the project learning when parallelism helps and when it only slows things down.

Schedule Squared: group scheduling without the friction

My classmates kept using when2meet because it is simple, fast and needs no sign-in, but it was hard to use on a phone and couldn't help with harder scheduling problems. I built Schedule Squared to keep that simplicity and add features for the problems I kept seeing, including filling in availability from a calendar screenshot with OCR and finding optimal pairings with an integer program.
